ABOUT ME
Soumya Jinaga’s Journey: A Path of Knowledge and Experience
My fascination with finance and economics stems from a blend of personal experiences and academic exploration. Growing up in a business-oriented family, I witnessed firsthand how financial strategies and economic decisions could shape organizations. This exposure fueled my desire to explore these fields further and understand how mathematical prowess and data analysis skills can be applied to solve real-world challenges.
During my academic journey, I was able to build a strong foundation in mathematics, economics, and global politics. My internships at an early-stage fund and a venture capital investment firm helped strengthen my understanding of financial ecosystems. Here, I authored detailed market analyses and sector investment reports, and honed my investment analysis skills.
I have had the privilege of attending summer programs at prestigious institutions, such as Yale University and Northwestern University, as well as leading teams in competitions, including Harvard Crimson Global Case Competition and Wharton Investment Challenge.
Beyond the classroom, I have thrived as an author with one published novel, one novel under editing (currently), and several editorial contributions. Committed to making a real impact in my community, I taught financial literacy to young girls and advised women on microfinance, promoting economic independence.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I am an avid reader with a diverse taste in literature, a passionate storyteller who enjoys crafting her narratives, and a film and TV enthusiast.
Looking ahead, I am eager to further deepen my understanding of finance and economics through hands-on experiences and coursework. I am motivated by the prospect of influencing economic policies and formulating impactful financial strategies.
