During my time at the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS), I spearheaded the creation of a political party that addressed issues prioritized by the youth, such as climate change, education reform, and digital privacy. By conducting extensive research on policies and initiatives implemented by governments worldwide, I crafted targeted solutions to address these concerns. My peers recognized the party’s vision and elected me as their representative, which allowed me to lead discussions on youth-focused policy frameworks.

In addition, I participated in a speaker series session for over 200 students, where I highlighted the systemic dismissal of women’s pain in healthcare, focusing on both the Indian context and global disparities.

During my time at the program, I also attended lectures on various critical issues. These included discussions on the inherent biases in archives and their implications for historical research, the socio-political issues surrounding fast fashion, and the influence of business executives on political decisions. Additionally, I explored the importance of data in shaping modern geopolitics and its impact on global power dynamics.

I also participated in seminars that focused on the intricacies of antitrust laws, the role of monopolies in today’s markets, and the influence of American political dynamics on economic structures and policy. These experiences provided me with a deeper understanding of how these factors shape our world today and their relevance in the ongoing global discourse.
