Northwestern University - Equal Justice Under Law

Jinaga
In this course, I learned about the structure and origins of the American government, gaining a comprehensive understanding of its foundational principles and the historical context in which it was established. I explored different landmark Supreme Court cases that have shaped U.S. law and policy, analyzing their significance and impact. One of the key components of the course was researching and arguing various cases, which honed my legal reasoning and debate skills. I also participated as an advocate for the plaintiff, respondent, and judge for multiple moot court cases. For a major project, I conducted an in-depth study of Katz v. United States, exploring its implications for privacy rights and Fourth Amendment protections. Through this research, I created a detailed presentation that examined the case’s background, the Supreme Court’s ruling, and its lasting effects on American jurisprudence.
